Some general stuff about me

Note: This will likely be the only “actual content” post for a few days, due to my miraculously prompt ability to forget details soon after they are hammered into shape.  Oh well.  I’m hoping to give you some basic information about myself so you know why I think and act the way I do before I start the serious blogging.  It also gives me a grace period to make sure everything is up and running while my hit number is limited to my friends from real life (an extremely realistic game with its moments, but I doubt it has much replay value).  So, without further ado, this commences a bulleted list of information about yours truly.

Site plug: The Wiire

The Wiire (http://www.thewiire.com) is a Wii news, media, and reviews site with an awesome podcast and a forum with nearly 9,000 members.  The people who do the site are extremely dedicated and provide it as a free service; the site is maintained on advertising money and the occasional user donation.  The podcast aims to be weekly and always succeeds in being informative, amusing, and generally great.  The site is nearing its 100th podcast and will celebrate its third anniversary early this summer.  The boards cover a variety of gaming and nongaming topics, so it’s easy to find something to discuss.  My handle is “Wii Owner 3.14″ on The Wiire, just like it is everywhere else.
